Lovely rooms and a great place to stay . The food was amazing .

Pros: The rooms are lovely above a quaint pub . The staff and the food was all great .

Pros: Comfortable room, good food and lovely friendly service. Been before and will return again.

Cons: Morning coffee is disappointing, but that’s it. An espresso machine would cheer up breakfast a great deal!

Comfortable, enjoyable and filled with the good humour and friendliness of an exceptional staff.

Pros: Breakfasts were all excellent. Luke produces a consistently high quality of food. We stayed for 5 nights and each breakfast was a treat. The 3 evening meals we ate in the restaurant were all delicious. A good range of dishes were available and the quality was consistently high. The Sunday dinners were a real treat! The wine list was impressive and the Shiraz chosen by my wife was most enjoyable and not overpriced.

Cons: The choice of cooked breakfast was somewhat limited on the menu - full English, eggs Benedict, veggie option - but Luke was very happy to adapt this to individual needs. For example, bacon sandwiches, poached egg on toast, etc. The quality was excellent. The coffee was particularly good.

Warm, inviting and comfy.

Pros: Lovely staff with a lovely welcome from Mandy. In fact all of the staff that were interacted with were warm and friendly and made us feel like we were regulars. The room was big and had everything we needed in it, including a decent sized fridge. The bathroom was ace and the shower was brilliant.

Cons: Nothing to report

With the little extras in the room made the stay pure comfort

Pros: Staff very friendly , room lovely size with a fridge with two bottles of water and two bottles of pure orange juice and a small jug of milk for the tea and coffee etc, two bathrobes too , food in the bar was excellent inc apple and blackberry crumble ! , breakfast also matched the high standard of the evening meal .

Cons: Absolutely nothing

Just right for the event we were attending, beautiful area.

Pros: Lovely big room and large bed with character. Newly decorated bathroom. Great breakfast.

Cons: Room was cold and could have done with a lick of paint etc

Pros: Nice and charming hotel. Good evening meal. Very friendly owner/staff. I'd like to come back in a nicer time of the year. (We were there in November)

Nice hotel , more of a pub with rooms above but good value and nice rooms.

Pros: Good location as we were visiting family. Staff were friendly. Room was decorated nicely and good bathroom with a good shower. Good English breakfast and had veggie option too.

Cons: Mattress was a bit hard for me and bed creaked when you got out of it. Bathroom door also creaked, needs some oil. This was a problem when getting up to go to the toilet at night.

Absolutely stunning, lovely staff, great breakfast, we will be back for a second visit.

Pros: The hotel itself weee beautiful, our room were beautiful, slight wear and tear however it’s an old building so to bd expected. Breakfast were lovely too.

Cons: That we didn’t get there in time for food, as we checked in after 8pm
