The Bluebird Inn at Samlesbury

Excellent place to stop overnight.

Pros: Pleasant welcome. The pub was cosy and inviting and the room was a good size with everything we needed. Excellent walk in shower, which was good for accessibility. Heating easy to control. Breakfast was included and there was a very good buffet with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and fruit juice and cooked breakfast with quality produce used. Staff friendly and efficient without being rushed. Good to see EV chargers on the carpark.

Pros: the breakfast was excellent, the food was hot and well cooked. plenty on offer if you preferred not to have a cooked breakfast and plenty of drinks selection.. the staff on the breakfast shift were very helpful and pleasant.

Pros: Close to M6 so easy to break long journey for food or overnight. Attentive, pleasant staff. Efficiently run restaurant. Rooms well away from road and pub/restaurant so quiet.

Cons: Room was basic and looking a bit tired although perfectly adequate. No heating in bathroom

Pros: passed on breakfast, my choice, not my meal of the day, but my evening meal was good, tasty and filling with a large glass of red wine!

Lovely Hotel, ticks all the boxes

Pros: Nice friendly, welcoming hotel, easy check in, friendly service, gave us a ground floor room on request, clean rooms, comfy bed, large TV, really nice filter coffee bags and decaff options and biscuits. The real ale in the bar was nice.

Cons: Cant really think of anything.

Pros: Good location near M6, pleasant staff at check in, good large bedroom. Excellent bar and friendly staff.

Cons: My main course steak was dreadful like a tough piece of leather. Bar staff excellent in response, offered me alternative and discounted food bill.

Pros: Cosy rooms and bar area . Welcoming atmosphere . Great complementary teas / coffees / biscuits and toiletries.

Cons: Lack of an extractor in bathroom. Signs of condensation causing some mould around window frame ( room 21)

Great Hotel

Pros: Great rooms and fabulous staff. Great breakfast offering is highly recommended.

Very nice hotel and suited our needs

Pros: Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Food - Breakfast was good with a good selection.

Cons: Although our room was clean the window frame needed attention, one of the window catches was missing and the frame needed some repairs and a good paint.
