Hotel Rafay was clean, tidy and in a good location for restaurants and pubs for a Saturday night

Pros: Price for a Saturday night and location was excellent

Pros: When we arrived, shown to room, toilet roll holder was broken and because we had paid a breakage bond I reported it. They came straight back to room and was going to change our room for us, but assured him that we were OK. So that was very good service. Bed was very comfy.

Excellent city centre value if you can master the access pads and the tv

Pros: Free city centre parking, large warm room, friendly staff, decent shower, excellent value for money.

Cons: Check-in and key process complicated, you get an access code texted to you for the room and another access code given on a slip of paper for the main door, no keys or key cards. I found the keypads difficult to use but friendly staff helped and I guess it's all in the name of security. No other way to close the door when going out except to slam it, disturbed the guy next door, who thought I was trying to get into his room ! I would prefer regular TV, it took an age to find programmes I wanted to watch on various apps, and then it kept buffering.... I resorted to watching on my phone.

Good base for a quock event based trip to Blackburn.

Pros: Location - a few minutes was form station, right in town centre and close for buses to Darwen. Friendly greeting with cool technology for keys to building and room. Massive room and lovely and toasty on a freezing cold day Comfortable bed Good shower Lots of power points for charging

Cons: TV only seemed to give somebody’s you tube ( prev guest ?? No idea ) but no ordinary channels I could find. Bathroom was cold - really cold - and towels were damp / wet - had to unroll towel and hang by radiator overnight to use for my shower.

Cons: the towels and T.V was not working.
