A perfect stay

Pros: Easy check in straightforward and close to all amenities

Cons: Steep stairs at rear before you enter the property

Great place

Pros: The room was excellent, very warm, clean and spacious. The staff in the pub were very helpful and friendly. 2nd time staying here and back again later in the year. Nice communal area if staying with friends too.

Clean and convenient en-suite room above a decent pub.

Pros: Decent sized room, spacious shower and a nice pub downstairs, all in a convenient location. Check-in instructions were very clear and the room had everything I needed for a solo visit to Dalton.

Cons: Nothing major but the room was a little too warm for me and the fridge was a bit noisy.

Lovely place

Pros: complimentary breakfast cereal and yoghurts thanks . Fridge in room was a nice touch

Cons: Be careful with reversing into narrow car park but space for 6 cars

Lovely room

Pros: Comfortable, clean, tea & coffee freely available. Central location, above a pub, but you don't hear any noise in the room! Highly recommended and would come back.

Cons: It was too hot and couldn't control the heat in the room. We would have liked to check out a little later!

Always relaxed and chilled but equally fun

Pros: Quiet at night despite having a pub downstairs but also ideal to get a proper pint right underneath you

Cons: As I’ve been coming for a number of years they need to update the terrace area outside it’s a little rundown and beat up

White Lion Rooms

Pros: Very comfortable, very clean, very spacious and some lovely touches.. such as the lounge room for comfort and some complimentary breakfast items in your room as well as milk in the fridge.

Cons: I didn't mind, but beware entrance to the rooms are to the rear of the pub. There is a narrow metal stair case up to the entrance to the rooms.. its not ideal when the pub is closed as using this entrance is (during poor weather) potentially risky. Not good for really young, old or otherwise. Also bringing cases up is difficult too. Tiny tiny complaint, it was very hot in the room (heating needed to be off) but also across the floors and in the lounge area very warm.

Pros: Everything was perfect, staff fantastic, room was lovely, warm & clean with lots of extras thought of. Very welcoming & easy, thankyou!!

Pros: Clean, warm, I liked the fridge in the room handy for the milk, breakfast was fine just cereal but ok.

Pros: Been here a few times before, feels like home from home. The rooms are great and the lounge is handy if you don't want to be eating out every day, you can heat up some food there. Host provided plant milk on request, all good :)
