Cons: A niggly point, but some info about how and where to put recycling would be helpful for guests.

Pros: A beautiful, clean and charming house in a superb location, just opposite Lancaster castle. The resident's parking permit was a great bonus as it meant we could park for free in the city centre. The bedrooms and bathroom had lovely clean, fresh linen and the kitchen was very well equipped.

Lovely property in a great location

Pros: Cute little house in a great location, I enjoyed walking the dog around the grounds of the castle, which is literally opposite. We walked to a nice little pub about 5 minutes away, called ‘the pub’ and sat outside, it was nice. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable (hard but I like that). Lovely big bathroom, unique quirky little house. I would recommend it and I would stay again. When I arrived I couldn’t work out the lock but the host answered the phone straight away and sent me a lovely message when I booked so the host was really responsive as well.

Cons: There was tea and coffee in the kitchen, but I couldn’t have any as there was no milk. Some essentials, bread, milk, butter etc. although not expected, would have been welcomed.

Castle View is exactly that! great house in a great location

Pros: That the host allowed us a bag drop prior to checking in, and he was easily contactable.

Pros: Above and beyond kitchen facilities, well stocked on everything a family requires on a selfcatering trip. Beautiful location. The host gave clear instructions re parking. Thank you to the host.

Cons: The small outdoor space could do with a seating area, especially on a nice day. Thank you for the innovative washing line, we were impressed.

Pros: The location is excellent—less than a ten-minute walk to Lancaster Train Station. From the living room window you can see the historic walls of Lancaster Castle, while the third-floor bedroom window offers a distant view of the Ashton Memorial Hall and the beautiful town of Lancaster. The house is clean and equipped with everything we needed. There could be no better place to stay.
