Fabulous area and fine warm facilities.

Pros: A beautiful location - secluded, with superb views. Bathroom was clean and spacious with excellent facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the storage of multiple drawers and large built in wardrobe perfect for a long stay. Hosts Carol and David were a wealth of advice and local information and their welcome was genuinely warm. The hallway and kitchen provided many great touches, including treats of fruit and sweets, parking passes and chilled water. Further guidebooks, information and great views are experienced in the kitchen. A dining area and well provisioned breakfast bar was available with crumpets and breads and porridge key to a fine morning! Excellent stay DS

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Set right on the Duddon estuary, HH is perfect for walkers, birders, nature lovers. The modern house captures the views from light, airy rooms. Muddy boots and wet clothes weren’t a problem. And a self-service breakfast was a real bonus.

Might well be the best place to stay in Millom, with friendly hosts and stupendous views.

Pros: Beautiful house in a very interesting location--you have to drive through a grotty industrial estate to reach it, but I like that slightly 'edgelands' feel. Gorgeous meadow in front of it and you walk out to magnificent views of the Duddon estuary and the Lakeland fells beyond. The tide was up the morning we left, so lots of waders (birds--big flocks of redshank) flying along the shoreline and the water.

Cons: Having a breakfast served (rather than DIY) would make it about perfect but it would be unfair to criticise it on that basis. We knew what the offer was when we booked and enjoyed our cereals and toast.

Pros: Everything was very nice,we had a lovely time,the host an amazing lady,she was great and friendly with our 6 years old daughter,like a grandmother! Bed was nice and soft,breakfast had plenty of choices,really recomend the place!

Cons: There was nothing we didn t like!

I can absolutely recommend a stay here.

Pros: 15 mins walk to an isolated beach. 10 mins walk to town centre. Lots of footpaths to follow around the coast. Host was very accommodating and helpful - she even asked if we needed anything when she popped in to town. 💓 Views are absolutely stunning. Breakfast bar open all day (self service).

Cons: One tiny niggle - the bedroom door rattles with the window open and it's been scorching hot this week.

Cons: Very windy on one night ,batroom window slightly open and even when bathroom door closed ,bedroom door rattling Shut bathroom window in night ,but still rattled a bit Couldnt be helped I suppose very windy Think its where door latch is ,Comfythats the problem !

Pros: Excellent base for hill walking in SW of the Lake District. Very quiet with superb views over the Duddon Estuary and its wildlife. Very helpful host.

Comfortable and nice place to rest.

Pros: Lovely area, peaceful and tranquil, with a good selection of breakfast. Help yourself option. David was a lovely guy who made us feel very comfortable.
