Transported to a gentler and refined time.
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely food (breakfasts only). If you like antiquing - this is the pace to stay. Not completely untouched but modernised just enough to keep you warm, familiar and safe whilst harking back to between the wars days. Time and effort has been spent and it shows in soft furnishings and cleanliness. Antiques are dotted around and it was fun doing a Google image search on some of the more obscure items. Stay in a Tr*v*l*ge if that is your thing - go here if you want to be charmed, treated well and immersed in bygone times.
Cons: We really could not find anything to complain about. breakfast freshly cooked, fruits and yoghurts laid out on the sideboard. Coffee comes in a cafetiere so you know it isn't Nescafe. Charm after charm!

Peaceful welcoming place to stay
Pros: It is a very welcoming place, it is cozy, once it used to be family home, it is full of history and wonderful artefacts, I stayed in the room in the attic, had extremely peaceful rest at night, everything about this place is quality, the host is welcoming and helpful and prepared me a lovely breakfast, thanks so much
Cons: I have nothing to complain about, one thing to note is for the ones who are driving, there is a place to park at the bottom of the road before you enter the property, the Stone Gates to the Property Drive were too narrow for my 4x4, but as I said there is space before reaching the property

We had a very pleasant stay
Pros: Very good location close to but outside town centre, efficient & friendly staff, characterful building beautifully decorated, excellent breakfast
Cons: Heating was not very effective in winter, Toilet flush mechanism a little eccentric, but it worked!

Pros: Ulverston can be quite noisy as I've found out from staying in other places here but st marys mount was perfect location and so peaceful. Views in the morning are amazing. Breakfast good and perfect host
Cons: Being drunk and walking back up the hill as no taxis from town centre

Comfort in a stylish family home with original features. Delicious breakfast.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit and natural yoghurt and seeds and nuts and honey as well as cereal etc. Lovely white China with homemade jams and butter curls. Bacon and sausages from the butcher. Bed extremely comfortable and service form Maren kind and helpful. The decor also beautiful and homely as it is actually a home. Silk curtains and Waring and Gillow furniture. Stylish and luxurious.
Cons: On a steep hill so hard work up and down to town if you are of a certain age and don’t have a car. Rather difficult to find as no signage outside.

Lovely views
Pros: Lovely old building with great views over the village. We stayed in the attic room which was lovely. Facilities were great, a little cold in the lounge area of the room though as no radiator. Karen was lovely. Breakfast very good. Ideally situated to restaurants, bars and shops.
