Morecambe is within 20-minute drive away, which has views across the bay. Guests can visit the beach, the Eric Morecambe Statue and Happy Mount Park. The accommodation is a 10-minute drive from Lancaster train station, which offers easy access to Manchester, Liverpool and London, as well as The Lake District.

A perfect stay

Pros: Comfortable, well situated rooms. Basic but clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend.

Cons: No problems at all. It would have been nice to have two keys per room, but we made it work.

Great option for a stay at Lancaster University campus.

Pros: The accommodation is very basic, but has absolutely everything needed for a good stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, the campus is lovely and the staff are incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay in a great location onsite at the university

Pros: Excellent location and value for money when visiting my daughter at the university. Plenty of parking and good breakfast.

Cons: My single room had no conventional socket near the bedside table which was slightly inconvenient. Also in The Beatrix block they have a two key system for the corridor door and room door clearly suggesting they would prefer the corridor door kept locked on exit yet part way through the stay put up a hand made sign saying “don’t lock the corridor door as not everyone has a key”. A clear solution would be to not provide anyone with a corridor key and keep said door unlocked or update to a key fob or one key system used in their other blocks and colleges.

Good value and perfectly adequate.

Pros: Went for an event at the uni and it was very convenient to stay on campus. The room was clean and relatively cheap. It was not fancy in any way, but it was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was pleasant too, again, not the huge choice range you might get in a fancy hotel, but enough options both cooked and continental and a reasonable price. Would be happy to stay again.

Pros: Breakfast was very good - served by friendly staff.

Cons: There was a sheet in the room about parking. I would have liked a second information sheet about choices of where to eat in the evening. I did try the suggested web site but ended up completely confused by the choices and locations. On the second night I found the pizza place which was very good.

A pleasant stay and friendly staff.

Pros: The location and the breakfast. The people and food outlet staff were very pleasant.

Cons: The additional £7+ per day for parking and the price weighting for a single room, which amounts to 76% more than staying as part of a couple (£75 against £42.50). Ouch!

Comfortable stay

Pros: Very good value - clean room, centrally located , and fuss-free. Great for a stay when dropping off our son at the start of term. Very convenient to have breakfast included too.
