Great weekend in Lancaster

Pros: Great location, excellent facilities, comfortable furnishings and good ambience. Host left a bottle of wine, some coffee, tea and snacks.

Cons: Unable to leave baggage in advance of stay. TV programmes a bit limited. Front bedroom radiator did not working.

Pros: Location , quality of accomodation and furnishings.

Cons: Lack of free parking

Pros: Excellent house comfy, clean in an excellent location. Everything needed was at hand , close to shops and city centre.

It was an excellent experience and would like to come back in the future.

Pros: The location is good, ~ 10 mins walk from the city centre, bus station and train station. The layout inside the house is good, excellent view of river Lune on the front side and meadows on the back side.

Pros: Lovely detail and decor and loved knowing the fascinating history of the house. The host was very responsive when we had a hiccup due to my forgetfulness.

Cons: Nothing.

We liked the location and the apartment. Our stay coincided with the Light Up Lancaster festival.

Pros: Great location. Stylish and we'll equipped apartment.

Cons: Parking was sometimes problem. Lots of stairs up to the apartment.

Cosy attic hideaway near centre of Lancaster.

Pros: Excellent location, next door to very friendly pub with good beer. Walking distance from supermarket, town centre, castle and river walks. Cosy. Comfortable. Well equipped. Clean. Good views of river.

Cons: Couldn't get TV/Humax to work - no instructions. Not really a complaint, but, the stairs/headroom/sloping floors took a little getting used to (for this 6 footer !). In the end it became part of the charm ! One needs to pay attention to parking - 3 hours out front (and overnight) but one needs to park beyond the viaduct (5 minutes walk) to get free parking other than that.

Pros: The apartment is amazing, very clean, modern, convenient with family. There is everything in the apartment, we definitely felt like at home. The location was also amazing! Do recommend! Will definitely come back again!

PERFECTLY WONDERFUL STAY WHICH WE VERY MUCH EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS.

Pros: We thought everything was fabulous. The furnishings were of excellent quality and everything was like brand new. We loved everything about the apartment including the way it sloped slightly due to the age of it! Old on the outside and brand new on the inside done in a very tasteful way. The furnishings etc had clearly been carefully thought out and you could tell that the owner really cares about his property and goes over and above for his guests which was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone wishing to explore Lancaster and the surrounding area as it is perfectly located for such a visit.

Cons: Nothing - we loved it and in particular the location which turned out to be 5 minutes walk from where our family lived a century ago! We remembered being at the same family house in the 1950's and 1960's including the surrounding area which was very pretty.
