Great location with attentive staff

Pros: The location was perfect for our needs as we were getting the train to Preston from Leyland station which was only a ten minute walk

Cons: Some improvements to small items like a wobbly toilet seat

Credit where credit is due

Pros: Nice traditional building, it's like walking into a manor with all the classic décor and high ceilings. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. I was attending a private dinner with my family for a 50th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent. Everyone in our group was very happy. The service was perfect. The room set up for our meal was perfect and looked grand.

Cons: I really needed a drink of water at night. I wish I had a bottle of water. Unfortunately the cold water tap was hot due to the heating being on.

A perfect hotel for visiting family locally

Pros: Love all the period features and the grounds of this hotel. All the staff make you feel at home. The room was a good size and the bathroom was huge. It’s was also warm and cosy for a winters visit.

All in all great would come again

Pros: Good breakfast and afternoon tea. My husband was very disappointed with his evening meal. I was eating out so didn't see. I told him he should have said something but he didn't. Other than that everything else fine

Beautiful,warm and friendly.

Pros: Everything. Was a warm friendly atmosphere very homely and hospitable. Staff where amazing especially Bob and Damian. Super comfy bed and a beautiful room that Bob and Damian upgraded us on our arrival. Definite stay for us here again maybe our future wedding venue.

A lovely Birthday stay!

Pros: We love the location, it's absolutely perfect for visiting family. The hotel itself is beautiful with lots of lovely features and grounds and parking. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts are very nice. A fab place to be to celebrate my Birthday with family with a lovely side room all to ourselves. We'll definitely return.

Fantastic hospitality

Pros: Fantastic hospitality and very dog friendly. Grounds were good for walking dogs. Food was good and they were able to cope with our dietary requirements.
