King Alfred Hotel

Great winter break.

Pros: Location perfect for beach walking and getting into town. Good food in the restaurant. Nice to have bottled water in the rooms. Housemaids excellent. Great Wi-Fi. Room was a nice temperature, not too hot, as we were able to adjust the heating ourselves.

Cons: Had to ask for two sets of towels in our room for two guests, as otherwise we only received one set. No coat hangers.

Pros: Stayed here about 10 times now never disappointed highly recommend

Lovely and friendly place with clean and modern rooms

Pros: The breakfast is lovely and the rooms are compact but very clean with modern furniture and very comfy bed.

Barrow's finest

Pros: Stay here when I'm working in Barrow. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Good restaurant if you don't want to venture out to eat. Nice bar with Sky showing the football. Excellent breakfast if you're not up and out too early. Recommended.

Pros: Had a nights stay and it was a lovely comfortable bed, room and hotel. Sam and Alan were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and staff lovely. There was a singer on in the afteenoon who was very good and the atmosphere of the King Alfred Hotel was brilliant. Shout out to Arran, Jo and family who made me feel welcome. Definately recommend this Hotel and will visit again, many thanks Jackie, room 9

Pros: Fantastic stay lovely atmosphere food exellent evening meal and breakfast top class great staff we will be returning had a great band on in evening too which was an added bonus

Pros: The light in the room was very good, the room was very clean, fresh and spacious. The bed was comfortable.

Cons: This is a pub hotel so there was music playing below in the bar until 10.30 pm but that was to be expected.

Super place to stay easy access to all local amenities

Pros: Easy check in shown to the room advised on the security access. I asked for an early breakfast no problem

Cons: The room was perfect warm very tidy clean and very comfortable. Just one draw back the tiolet seat was loose and almost fell off I couldn’t fasten it myself needed special tools I think

Pros: I travel to Barrow once a fortnight for work, the King Alfred was always my go to hotel of choice. I've been moving around other places while the restaurant was closed but returned now it's open again. So glad to be back, the rooms are immaculate and beds comfortable. Modern smart TVs if you're putting your feet up and excellent food with footy on the TV if that's what you fancy. I've tried the competition, think I'll be sticking with the King Alfred from now on, 10/10, excellent!

Cons: Not really a complaint, it's my choice, but I start work too early to sample the excellent breakfast which is included in the price!
