Lovely, peaceful stay

Pros: The location is fantastic- peaceful stately home grounds, a beautiful walled garden, about a leisurely 20min walk into pretty Cartmel and a hill right at the back for walks. The cottage itself was very cosy and homely and had been decorated for Christmas, with a tree, crackers and a dish of chocolate coins and tangerines which were a nice touch. If there aren't enough kitchen items, these are easy to borrow from the main house which we did. There were a couple of cleaning snags and an issue with the oven which the owner (Martin) was very prompt in responding about and I'm sure this will be sorted out before the next stay. Thank you for your goodwill and excellent customer service.
