North Lodge Cartmel

Great stay

Pros: Amazing garden, really nicely landscaped. Beautiful views. The kitchen was very well equipped - we had everything we could have possibly needed! The rooms were comfortable and warm. Very quiet and pleasant location. The hosts clearly communicated arrival and departure times and the location of the keys. We were left some soft drinks, a bottle of prosecco and some Cartmel sticky toffee pudding, which we appreciated. It was great to have the leaflet with info on local shops and restaurants.

Cons: The carpet in the twin bedroom was very stained and in need of replacement. Shower made some strange noises when used and had pretty low pressure. While the property was generally very clean, being asked to strip the beds on departure revealed dirt between the bed and wall, along with items from previous guests.

North Lodge, Cartmel

Pros: Lodge is lovely, feel is quality and comfort. The ladies enjoyed the Prosecco, the boys the Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding, me, enjoyed the peace and tranquility! Lovely setting, private space, zero hassles! Would book again in a moment and was actually wishing had booked longer as did my wife and sister-in-law.

Cons: Leaving to return to Manchester......

We had a fabulous stay and really loved the garden making use of the fabulous weather and alfresco areas!

Pros: The beautiful garden, lovely peaceful and quiet location! Very clean and well appointed! Close to the lovely town of Cartmel.

Cons: No washing machine

Pros: A beautiful lodge with an amazing and huge garden! Perfect location, close to Cartmel within an easy walk.

Perfect family getaway

Pros: Perfect accommodation for our family with two teenagers and my mother-in-law with limited mobility. Freshly renovated and spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed some local treats from the host. Instructions were easy to follow, kitchen was well equipped and everytging seemed very new. Loved all the different areas to sit outside. Cartmel is beautiful, great little escape from the other more touristy parts of the Lakes. The gardens surrounding the lodges were beautiful as well.

Cons: Nothing, it was all great

Tranquil location, excellent conditions

Pros: My family was stunned with the quality of the home conditions. All the equipment is of the highest quality. The house has a wonderful backyard. The master bedroom is BIG, and the bed is of a good size for a tall person like me. The location is excellent for a tranquil rest. Wonderful Cartmel village nearby. If I ever intend to visit Lake District again, I will be checking availability of these properties.

Cons: The only thing we were missing is a washing machine. Since the property is surrounded by nature, clothes can get dirty and it would be nice to be able to wash them.

Very enjoyable stay in a well equipped, comfortable and beautiful lodge.

Pros: Convenient location. Cosy, clean and modern interior. Beautiful private garden.

Cons: The rooms and garden were smaller than expected due to the photos.

Cosy Lodge

Pros: Lovely location , everything we needed was available.and in good condition

Cons: The water pressure was quite low, which may be due to the area and nothing to do with the Lodge. The single beds were a bit short, fine for myself and one daughter, but a bit of a squeeze for my other daughter at 5ft 10 inches A BBQ area outside would be a nice addition, as there is the room for one A hot tub would be fantastic, but of course, it would affect the price I would imagine. Also, a second bathroom would be helpful for 5 adults. Overall a lovely place and very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing and just beautiful

Pros: Just everything it’s so beautiful and we are hoping to book again in July
