Relaxing cosy weekend

Pros: Immaculate. So clean, cosy and warm. Had everything and more, even down to shower gel (especially loved the bath and the log burner)

Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Pretty cottage with lovely views.

Pros: Lovely, comfortable & well equipped cottage. Good location for exploring southern Lakes area. Beautiful views to the front. Immaculately clean with good bathrooms & comfy beds. Host was accommodating.

Cons: Parking was a little restricted & tricky. Stairs to the front door are steep.

Pros: Very comfortable, clean and cosy. Stunning views. We visit Cark often and this is the best place we’ve stayed.

Family break in Cark

Pros: Absolutely lovely cottage. Spacious with lovely views. A bright and inviting space. Everything we needed was on hand. The cottage was warm, very clean and the beds were comfortable. Cottage was ideally situated to visit the southern part of the lakes.

Pros: Well finished accommodation with everything you need for a few days in the lakes. Lovely sitting area outside the front of the house with lovely views. We were only there for 2 nights but never moved the car as the house os only 500m or so from Holker Hall and a pub is within a reasonable walkable distance.

Cons: The lane in front of the house is quite tricky. We parked in the car park of the village hall which is only a few 100m away.

Pros: The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Set in gratitude quiet place.

Cons: not very private in the kitchen area a lot of faces looking in, although everybody was friendly, would have preferred a private back garden but it was a lovely place

Fabulous cottage which is both very comfortable and peaceful.

Pros: Beautifully presented property with a wonderful view. The owners of the property were very helpful and neighbours were friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Good location with lovely views. Beautifully decorated. Well equipped with all the essentials you need for your stay. .

Cons: Only one parking space, in the street in front of the house - and it was tight. But there was some space further down the road.

Stunning property in a great location.

Pros: The cottage is beautiful. It is clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Good standard of beds, showers and furnishings. The location is very good, just a short walk to the village shop, train station and village pub.

Cons: Parking is not easy. We have a large family car and could not park outside the property or get past other cars on the single lane. Therefore, we had to park a short walk away from the property. The back garden is access only and pets are not allowed in the garden. This meant that we couldn’t just let our dog out to is she needed a wee, we needed to put her lead on and go for a short walk.
