Herdwick Cottage

Pros: A lovely cottage, clean, tidy, warm and a fantastic bed.

Excellent - would come again.

Pros: There was no breakfast - we took our own. The woodburner, kindling and logs were great

Cons: There was no contact at all with the host or any other human being. It would have been nice of someone had visited to make sure everything was OK. We simply collected our keys from the key safe, and returned them at the end. But otherwise everything was excellent

Perfect cottage retreat.

Pros: Lovely little cottage with a gorgeous little river running past the front. Perfect for a meditative getaway 😊

Beautiful

Pros: Beautiful location, fabulous accommodation with extras by the hosts to really make you feel at home. Our little one loved the view of the goats from the bedroom window too! Great spot for local walks and also for venturing further afield. Very comfortable and clean, highly reccomend

Quiet, picturesque, cozy and comfy - great little cottage.

Pros: Lovely location very picturesque. Quiet and very easy to get to coastal walking path and to explore the area. Really loved having the wood burner!

Cons: Few cobwebs around the ceiling. Local pub no longer serving food, so the welcome book could do with an update. Otherwise everything was great!

Pros: Lovely village with a fantastic house that suited our needs. Good facilities and felt very welcome with the gifts left.

Beautiful cottage

Pros: Super little cottage, very cosy. The fire was made up ready for us to light with plenty of firewood. There is a dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely to hear the sound of the river to the front of the cottage.

Cons: We had dogs with us and the rear is a shared courtyard with all the other cottages therefore it is not secure to allow the dogs out unattended. However this is not the fault of the owner of the property.

cosy and ideal for couples

Pros: cottage was so cosy, we went away during really cold weather and were very comfortable. We did 3 great walks whilst we were there, coastal, forest and the fell around Cathedral cave, so access to varied countryside. we don't have a log fire at home, so enjoyed the one here!!!

Cons: There is not much to say here! we had to cook meals at the cottage due to having a dog who is not good in crowds, so my only request would have been for 1 large frying pan.

Perfect location to stay for local events!

Pros: Location was the reason for this booking! It was very close to an activity we had booked that weekend stay. Quiet and relaxing!

Cons: Sadly it needs a bit of a update...kitchen ceiling needs taking down as leaks from bathroom. Revamp all the crockery and glass wear so it matches ...
