Pros: Lovely, homely pub/hotel. Great location to visit The Lakes & Lancs. Coast. The staff are fab. They can't do enough for you. The locals we met were all very welcoming. Don't expect 5* comforts. What you get is good food good hospitality and a lovely warm welcome. The bedrooms have everything you could need.

Cons: Some would consider it old!! But it is it's 400 years old and they haven't tried to soil that, which makes it a great stay.

Charming and comfortable with great staff and food.

Pros: Stayed for one night whilst working away. The premises were very charming, lovely pub and restaurant and Olivia who was working at the time of our visit was great. We ate breakfast and evening meal which were both delicious.

Cons: Nothing.

Nice hamlet. Lovely staff and good food. Room/decoration very basic.

Pros: The staff were amazingly good. Very kind, helpful and efficient. The room was spotless and had a super view of the church over the road - lovely when lit up at night. We were able to walk into the woods from just up the road and there was a nice Garden Centre just over the main road. The food was very nice.

Cons: The room was very basic and as I was a little fragile due to family illness, it did not feel welcoming. There was only bare boards on the floor and very little furniture - i.e. sparse. The bathroom was very nice however. For the rest of the building it felt tired and needed updating and decorating. Rooms are up 2 flights of stairs, the last one steep with a fire door right at the top - very difficult when trying to negotiate with baggage and a dog in tow.

Perfect for a one night stop off on the way home.

Pros: Everything, apart from the fact i forgot i was disabled when i booked it! 🤦‍♀️ three flights of stairs was quite a trek, but what a lovely room.
