Dramatic views across Morecambe Bay feature at the Netherwood Hotel, a former stately home set within extensive, colourful gardens. A daily changing menu of local produce is served in the restaurant and there is also an on-site spa and fitness centre. Netherwood is located less than 5 minutes’ drive from the Lake District National Park and scenic walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding woodland and countryside. Grange-over-Sands town centre can be reached after a picturesque 10-minute walk. Guests can enjoy the complimentary fitness centre at this property, and access to the on-site spa is available for a surcharge. Pre-booking of our Thermal Journey and any treatments is essential. Overlooking the woodlands, gardens, or Morecambe Bay, each en suite room has a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer. Room service is also available if required. Guests can enjoy the complimentary fitness centre at this property, and access to the on-site spa is available for a surcharge. Please note the Spa facilities are not included in any reservation. Lovely stay in grange over sands

Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the spa was clean and reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast and evening meals were excellent and reasonably priced.

Cons: We didn't stay in the hotel but in a bungalow which was clean and comfortable but lacked the character and feel of the large hotel.

We’ll be back, hopefully.

Pros: The property was quirky, warm and welcoming. Lovely log fires in reception and lounge, great staff, very clean and like minded guests happy to chat.

Cons: Nothing. The property was old but characterful. Might not suit everyone, but we absolutely loved it.

Relaxing

Fabulous location and beautiful hotel

Pros: Great room (10) overlooking the sea and good breakfast. I used the gym and spa and both were relatively small but with everything I needed. The hotel was just a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Cons: There are quite a lot of stairs - up to the front door and up to the room if you are a bit less mobile.

Pros: Stayed here for my wifes birthday just before Christmas, very atmospheric entrance, was like stepping back in time with the wood paneling and fire crackling away. Decorated lovely, especially the archway into the bar area. The receptionist was fantastic, ( Rachel) we almost couldn't make the dates of our stay and she went out of her way to help us, was greatly appreciated. Food was fantastic and service great along with staff who I couldn't fault. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely romantic stay around Christmas time. Great food and drinks

Pros: A beautiful kept historical building with a lovely atmosphere, particularly at Christmas Lovely grounds and easy flat walks accessible along the coast
