Beautiful retreat.

Pros: Everything! David and Janet are lovely hosts. The cottage is gorgeous and decorated to a very high standard. Toiletries were provided and were beautiful. A welcome pack is also provided and was yummy 😋

Cons: There were no dislikes, everything was fab. On a personal note, I prefer a bath to a shower. But it wasn't a problem, and we are planning to return next year 💛

A wonderful home away from home, and would definitely return.

Pros: Quiet, remote, in the countryside without being too far away from the surrounding towns. Well maintained property with comfortable furnishings. Lovely shower with a great water pressure. Well fitted out kitchen. Seeing the chickens and sheep daily (the cockerel did wake me up a few times so not great for a light sleeper but I did have earplugs). Lovely welcome pack with goodies, and a full jar of tea and coffee to use. Free WiFi with good connection and speed was a plus! Beautiful firepit for use. Iron and ironing board was appreciated! Love the original wood in The Stables adding to the countryside feel.

Cons: I brought my own hairdryer as it wasn’t listed on the amenities, which normally wouldn’t be an issue but as I came from abroad with limited suitcase space I would have appreciated knowing there was one already there. I didn’t really understand how to use the thermostat for the nights I felt cold, so perhaps a user manual would be good. There was no pen for the guest book so I bought one and left it there. There were no facial tissues so I bought a box and left it there also.

Home from home

Pros: Spotlessly clean. Attractively furnished with high quality items. Well stocked with all that you need. Generous welcome goodies. Very peaceful location with friendly chickens. Easy parking. Local walks available out of the front door. Nice and interesting local area.

Wonderful! I was so relaxed after a long day working and slept so well!

Pros: So so clean! Lovely little touches left like local honey, milk waiting, a small bottle of both white and red wine with some shortbreads and chocolates. I arrived really late due to a long commute and Janet had left the outside lights on for me and prepped the property for my late arrival. The farm itself is so lovely and Janet lives on site and is always happy to help if you need anything.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

It was a getaway holiday to recharge.

Pros: It was a beautiful little barn conversion which was very warm and cosy. Everything was set to a very high standard. ☺️

Cons: There was nothing that I did not like.

A delightful cottage with a welcoming host, ideal for exploring Longton and its surroundings.

Pros: Our weeks stay in this Longton holiday cottage was simply perfect. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, and Janet's local knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile made exploring the area a breeze. Highly recommend!\

Definitely worth a visit

Pros: Cosy wee place with morning welcome of chickens which was nice. Set in a quiet area with short walk to local pub which serves good food.

It is lovely to stay at such a pristine property where everything has been taken care of beautifully

Pros: We liked everything about this lovely little rural retreat. The property was in excellent repair, spotlessly clean and the furnishings and decor were stylish and good quality. The surrounding garden with its four hens and bird boxes were lovely - we even saw a hare run across the garden. Janet and her husband were excellent hosts, helpful, friendly and informative when apppropriate but otherwise unobtrusive. There is a Spar shop not too far away by car in one direction and a village pub about three quarters of a mile away in the other. Extremely handy!

Cons: Everything had been carefully thought out and we were happy with everything.
