Poppy Cottage

Absolutely brilliant

Pros: Parking was easy as it was on-site, next to the cottage and had lights and doors. Heating and kitchen equipment all top-notch and in brilliant condition. No need to bring anything to cook with. Wifi brilliant. Lounge very comfy and two brilliant bedrooms with comfy beds. Large dining area with great table and chairs. Lovely garden. Cant recommend highly enough.

Cons: Would have preferred the air freshener to have been turned off as I am an asthmatic. But I should have told the owner in advanced as this is not their issue, but mine.

Pros: Perfect stay in the most beautiful cottage. Modern, gorgeous fittings & furnishings & extremely comfortable. The outdoor space is equally perfect too. This is a return stay & will definitely return again & again! Highly recommended! Sara is always the perfect host too, I had a 2 nights stay but really did not want to leave, wish I could of stayed a lot longer! Thanks for everything again Sara, hopefully be back again later in the year 😊 X

Pros: The property was lovely,there’s nothing else to say. Sara was great nothing was too much trouble and was always there with quick responses

Lovely cottage for couple & a dog

Pros: We loved how spacious and clean the cottage was. The Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans & utensils etc. The garden was great for our dog and the log burner was really really cosy.

Pros: Cottage had everything needed for our break Spar almost next door well stocked and pleasant staff .Mawdesley is a small but very quiet village with a Millenium field for a nice walk with the dogs.Only 25 min to Ormskirk with short stay car park only£1 for 3 hours.Hope to go back to Poppy Cottage when possible.

Cons: The single beds were a little too soft .

Pros: We loved the location. The spa was amazing . Amenities at your door . . Met the owners. So welcoming and friendly . Would recommend this cottage for a couples get away

Perfect home from home

Pros: The property was immaculate, well laid out and the perfect location for us. Our children loved the space available which we wouldn’t have had if we had stayed in a hotel. There were lots of small thoughtful touches and the owner had clearly invested a lot of time and thought into the property.

Out of this world!

Pros: It was fresh and cozy and it had all the facilities and home equipment we needed! They have thought of everything! We loved it! Home from home! The owners were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again! Thank you Lynni x

Pros: Perfect stay at Poppy Cottage, I didn't want to leave! Stunning accommodation, cosy cottage feel but very spacious too. The kitchen, living area over looking the garden, through large patio doors was my favourite space. High-quality furnishings & lovely hosts too, in a brilliant location. Highly recommend a stay here & will definitely stay again! Thank you Sara & Martin 🙂
