Tarka Halt 1 - Haven Lakeland Leisure

Pros: Great Place to stay. Had everything you need for a short trip and a great location to the lakes. Beds were extremely comfortable. The site was perfect with shops and a pub all dog friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be re booking to stay again.

Enjoyable, relaxing and overall a great place to stay.

Pros: The property was fantastic, offering lovely views of the lake. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm and familiar—just like home—making it easy to switch off and truly relax. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would gladly return for another stay. ☺️

Pros: The lodge had a lovely lakeside location and a lovely space, it's very well equipped with cooking utensils etc.

Lovely peaceful and beautiful setting

Pros: Beautiful property - lovely outdoor area by the lake. Quiet and serene. Nicely furnished and had everything you could need

Cons: Cleaning of the patio area - cigarettes in a cup outside and cobwebs around the gate and fences.

Very relaxing in an amazing lodge

Pros: The lodge was beyond our expectations! The place was clean, spacious, comfortable, everything you needed. The balcony was such a lovely relaxing space over looking the lake

Pros: The location was great,not far from cartmel,Newby bridge. The Lodge was lovely had everything you need .

Cons: On The haven leisure park you needed to buy a pass for activities ect ..We didn't get one as our daughter is 20 ...but would have liked access to the bar .but needed a pass ....So we didn't get to go in unfortunately.

Pros: A lovely spacious lodge which felt very homely. Excellent outlook and deck overlooking the lake.

Cons: Being so close to the Owners lounge as noisy in the evening with music coming from the lounge. Thought we were well away from restaurants etc. Unfortunately there was an owners event on all day Saturday in the field next to us which meant loud music from midday until 22.45. We were specifically told no parties which we would not have had but we were looking forward to a quiet couple of days. We couldn't even hear the TV inside as it was so loud. Imagine this is an annual event though so we were unlucky. Only one out of 4 bedside lamps working and we did have to clean all outside furniture as everything was covered in cobwebs.

Fantastic lodge located within a beautiful setting.

Pros: Fantastic lodge in a great location on the edge of the lake. Clean and modern and very spacious. Equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend as you get the tranquillity of the private setting but have all the Haven site amenities available, should you want to use them, a short walk away. Good base for access to Windermere and the central lakes.

Cons: There were no negatives that I can think of.......even the weather was fantastic..!
