Great property

Pros: Loved the quirkiness of the apartment. Also the location is great

Cons: The only quibble was that as I suffer from a bad back the sofa wasn't ideal. But this is purely a personal thing

As always, an enjoyable stay.

Pros: Off road parking, great as we transported vintage bikes. It’s roomy with separate bedrooms & exactly what we need for our weekend at the Velo Retro.

Cons: Nothing, it suits us perfectly.

Pros: Nice place to stay home from home. Close to lake district, with a nice little town nearby.

Excellent location

Pros: Location is excellent - 5mins walk from town centre

Cons: Property needs a little tlc & finishing off - but having said that we would definitely recommend & stay there again

Pros: Always like it there, the location is brilliant in the centre of town , we visit family who live not far from town

Pros: The property was very central to accessing the bars, restaurants and shops

Cons: There’s some attention required to the shower area in the bathroom and some decoration.

Great house but terrible beds

Pros: The house was great. Very clean and tidy. We had everything we needed. The facilities were great apart from the beds. The loft room was very spacious and great to have an en suite. The shower in the en suite was great. Whenever I contacted Grace she was very quick to reply and sort out any issues.

Cons: The beds are very uncomfortable The mattresses are like sleeping on a bag of bones and desperately need replacing. The springs dig into you, which is really uncomfortable. Looking at the reviews, this has been raised by others, but obviously nothing has changed, which is a shame.

Great property in need of a little maintenance

Pros: Great location for the town centre and as a base to travel into the Lake District National Park. It was also good value for money.

Cons: This property is in need of a little maintenance. The main bathroom plumbing needs looking at, when my son had a shower water flooded through to the livingroom located directly under the main bathroom. This was an existing issue, we noticed the damage to the livingroom ceiling as soon as we arrived. Get this sorted and I would be happy to rent this property again.

Pros: This is the 2nd time we have stayed in one of these houses it's central location and house is much bigger than I expected

Cons: Nothing had problem with TV and WiFi but staff came and sorted it out was very helpful

We had a great stay the house is spotless the cleaner does an excellent job .,

Pros: It was spotlessly clean , 1 min from the centre and had plenty room

Cons: The large bed on the top floor was 2 single bed mattresses together and were uncomfortable
