Grooms cottage

Lovely relaxing weekend.

Pros: Lovely little cottage. The log burner was on when we arrived so was very cosy. The hot tub area is brilliant - very private and easy to use. Staff who greeted us were friendly and helpful.

Excellent, booked again

Pros: The cottage itself was absolutely 💯 amazing, with the added bonus of a lovely warm welcoming of a log burner roaring, & the hot tub just absolutely amazing, the whole experience was so comfortable, welcoming & definitely value for money, Hiighly recommended 💯 will be going for a relaxing break here regularly, thank you Steve .. we have found our best little get away .. my little dog settled here also, x

Pros: Lovely little get away in this cottage, hosts were lovely 😍

Really enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again when/if in the area again.

Pros: Steve was on his own, as his family was away on holiday, but did his utmost to ensure we was both well catered for. A good place to stay for the area we was in and great for our Newfoundland dog.

Lovely little cottage with a farm feel

Pros: Loved the hot tub and real fire, memory foam mattress was super comfy, lots of lamps and nice little touches :)

Cons: There were no scissors or a strainer for pasta but we managed to work around this!

Pros: Lovely self contained cottage. Perfect for a stay over for a couple of days or longer if holidaying.

Pleasant hosts and lovely location but oversights with cleaning.

Pros: Property was situated in a great location with some lovely walks and beaches nearby. It’s also only a short distance from Blackpool. We were greeted by one of the hosts upon arrival who was really friendly and showed us round the property, and how to work the hot tub. He also ensured that there was plenty of fuel for the burner. The property was mostly clean, other than a few oversights which did spoil it a little. There was plenty towels in the bathroom. The hot tub was brilliant, and the children loved having access to the trampoline. The host’s daughter was very friendly and came to ask if our children would like to play, which was really lovely. There was also a washer and dryer (but no detergent/softener) in the property which we did use to freshen up our own towels etc. There was also a small private garden, with some furniture and a dog Kennel. There were also horses on the yard that we were invited to see which was a lovely touch.

Cons: There was a pair of soiled/dirty PJ’s in the bedside table in the main room which was quite unpleasant. The cutlery draw could do with a good clean as it was full of crumbs. The hot tub being separate from the property was a bit of a shame, the hosts had tried to make it as private as possible, but it still felt very strange walking around in front of someone else’s front window in swimwear as the properties are very close together. Beware if you are travelling with reactive dogs, or don’t like dogs, as there a a few dogs wandering around and one was quite grumpy with our dog which nearly caused a fight.

Relaxing stay with everything you need

Pros: This is such a lovely place to stay! There are so many lovely touches that make it feel homely. The hot tub and decking area are great and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. The flowers growing are beautiful and having the dogs around and the horses next to us was a great experience.

Very relaxing and comfortable stay

Pros: Comfortable,location great,homely,fabulous wood burner,friendly host. Granddaughter looking forward to returning,as she loved the hot-tub and the owners pets.
