Ismay Dining Room Suite - Titanic Interest

Wow!

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay in the house. It's almost magical! The beds are comfy, the views are second to none. It was honestly such a treat.

Cons: It was no big deal really, but I struggled with connecting my Booking.com booking with the Sykes app, as requested so I panicked a little. It didn't prove to be a problem though, as I did indeed receive the relevant info from Booking.com. so if this happens to you - don't stress!

Pros: Close to where relatives lived and in a quite road near the beach

Pros: When I booked I wasn’t quite sure how the beds and the lounge area would feel being in one room. However the room is enormous and so there really was no issue. Everything was immaculately clean, it’s very well appointed in terms of facilities. If you book you won’t be disappointed.

Cons: Leaving.

Pros: Interesting history belonging to the owner of the White Star Line. Decor in keeping with the period. Plenty of interesting information in the booklet provided and on the walls. The weather was as expected autumnal but the place was warm and inviting. Eventhough there was no cooker we managed with the air fryer, microwave, toaster provided. Left our key in the apartment one day and ten minutes later everything was sorted. The owners were very friendly.

Lovely walks from the front door and great views of the sunset.

Pros: Perfect location for us to visit family. Easy to find and close to both the beach and the train station. Peaceful with amazing views. When an issue arose, the property manager was friendly in approach and took action.

A lovely comfort experience, we will be back.

Pros: Location, type of dwelling, proximity of good dog walking. I liked the history of the building.

Cons: The barking dog in the apartment above. We could have done with a reading light perhaps beside the writing table/end of settee.

Cons: Would have been great to know beforehand we couldn’t swim in Crosby beach due to red flag beach. We had children with us and wanted to get int he sea

Pros: The rooms were, on the whole, absolutely stunning - even better than we were led to believe by the photos. It's a beautiful building, lovingly maintained and the interior decor was thematically appropriate and very tastefully done. The view from the main room windows is superb and being able to watch the ships sailing in and out of the Mersey was a pleasure. A compact kitchen leads through to a spacious bathroom, also very nicely fitted, decorated and maintained. The proximity to the beach was another draw for us and the very short walk down to the shore is another feather in the cap for this property.

Cons: Really, there's no real deal-breakers here but I would have preferred to have a slightly fridge and maybe a drying rack in the kitchen for washed dishes and cutlery. Perhaps a two-ring hob to cook on? Also - beware the toilet flush! If you don't put the lid down, you'll have to wipe the seat every time you want to sit down as the water does tend to splash down from the cistern at quite some force.
