Great break

Pros: Lodge was a great size, extremely clean and everything in the cupboards if you wanted to cater for yourself. We are in the hotel. Food was plentiful and extremely tasty. Staff were great

Beautiful location

Pros: Beautiful location, very peaceful. Easy to find. The lodges are beautiful, very spacious, cozy, well equipped, very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Cons: No Uber eats, finding a take out food outlet was a challenge.

Fabulous restful stay.

Pros: Lovely obliging staff, especially Angelina who came down to sort out sauna and Lisa who helped out with some coffee and help with directions to next village. The place was spotlessly clean especially as it was in middle of wood, no little creatures. Great value for money with sauna and jacuzzi bath, the grandkids loved it. Comfy beds and sofas Millom beach gorgeous so is grange over sands. Lovely food at Rose and Crown Ulverston 30 mins away.

Cons: Little far away from a shop, be prepared and take food that you need. This wouldn't detract away from our stay though.

Pros: Excellent breakfast. Stayed in both nights for a bar meal. Excellent meal at a sensible price. Informal atmosphere.

Fab place to hide for the weekend

Pros: Comfortable beds, plenty of room and an unexpected sauna in the property. Plenty of parking, quiet location. Great for kids

Weekend away from city bustle

Pros: Amazing location. Lodges have a mini sauna and spa bath.

Cons: While booking the lodge the specs included a fireplace as well. Unfortunately we did not find a fireplace.

“A Relaxing Stay in Beautiful Surroundings with Room for Small Enhancements”

Pros: Review: We recently stayed at The Woodlands Hotel and had a wonderfully relaxing experience. The hotel itself is full of charm and history, set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings – the perfect place to unwind. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and the food was excellent. Our bedroom was clean, tastefully decorated, and offered lovely views. By way of constructive feedback, a few small additions could make the guest experience even better. For example, having USB charging points in the rooms would be very convenient for modern devices. A firmer mattress option, a mini fridge, and an upgraded coffee station would also be welcome touches. Additionally, changing the round door handles into the room to lever-style handles could make access easier. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. These small improvements would only add further comfort to what is already a very enjoyable and welcoming hotel.
