Good value. well located base to explore the wonderful Arnside and Silverdaler

Pros: It makes a very good base for exploring the local area. Can take some walks directly from the flat, e.g. into the village and south along the shore path; or surfaced path in field behind the flat goes up through village and on to Arnside Knotts for great habitat and views. Also the railway station is just across the road so can hop down to RSPB Leighton moss in just a few minutes. The flat had everything needed. Despite being opposite the station, because the bedroom is at the back facing a field we weren't disturbed by the train at all. The lounge window faces eye level with the passengers at station and trains.

Cons: No bed suits everyone, fine for one, uncomfortably firm for a side sleeper. Owner is going to get a memory foam mattress topper for those needing a little support for a hip. Sofa sags a bit but is still ok. There is no heating in the bathroom so in winter it is a little cool and damp, but the shower works fine.

A lovely and comfortable stay!

Pros: A lovely and comfortable stay! I had a really lovely time here. The location was excellent, just opposite the railway station and very convenient for the Education Institute where I was doing some courses. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything I needed — a microwave, kettle, stove, and a full-sized fridge-freezer, which was really handy. The living room was spacious and homely, with a smart TV, comfortable settees, plenty of cushions, and a lovely table. I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Pros: The extra touch of the bread butter cheese biscuits and milk. Close proximity to the train station.

Had a really enjoyable stay. Hope to return to see this lovely area in a different season.

Pros: Comfortable cottage in an excellent location for exploring the area. Lots to do just on your doorstep and the train makes it easy to explore further afield without using a car. Host very friendly and helpful, providing someone safe to store our bikes.

Cons: The cottage was great but would be even better with a few more utensils in the kitchen (bread knife and cafetière)

It whizzed by. I’ll be back.

Pros: I travelled by train an I am elderly so a flat right next to the station was ideal

Cons: The patio out the back looked very inviting but, sadly, was inaccessible. I would have loved to sit out there to gaze at the stars in the cloudless, dark sky.

stay was great would definitely recommend staying here and would come back

Pros: location was perfect for walking, getting the train, the bars in the town and the chippy down the road.
