Lovely old pub with comfy beds and good food and beer

Pros: The room was lovely with oak beam above bed. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a bath as well as a shower. The food was really nice and the local beer was good too. Good position near Lancaster.

Cons: The window was difficult to open and there was nowhere to plug phones near to the bed. We managed to plug them in elsewhere but where we put them was quite crowded with other things.

Lovely pub, comfy rooms, excellent food & lovely staff.

Pros: This is the third time we have stayed at the Fleece. Great rooms - very comfy. Great breakfast. Plenty of choice from cereals, fruit, pastries (continental breakfast) to full English breakfast or selection of egg dishes etc. Food available for dinner & lunch in the bar area - good selection of locally sourced dishes - fish & chips were excellent as was the steak & mushroom pie. Generous portions! We stayed here to attend a friend's birthday lunch - excellent service, beautiful roast dinner on the Sunday. Helpful & cheery staff. Many thanks as always.

Cons: Some noise from the bar/restaurant up to our room (our room was above the front of the pub) but this was within daytime hours & no noise later on when we retired to our room.

Very comfortable stay only minutes from the M6

Pros: Fabulous place. Very friendly staff. Food was exceptional. Extremely dog friendly. Loved our stay would recommend.

Pros: The room, facilities, drinks and the service was fantastic.

Cons: Disappointed we didn't have breakfast as it was Christmas morning however this dose mean we will have to stay again to find out if the breakfast is as good as the lunch and dinner menu.

Pros: Great location just off the motorway - ideal as a stop on drive from Scotland to the South. Staff superb, food excellent and clean and spacious room.

Cons: A bit warm but hard to criticise this lovely inn.

Pros: The breakfast and evening meal were excellent, our room was comfortable and warm. A good selection of well kept beer on the bar. Lovely staff.

Pros: Wonderful inn with excellent staff, food and the locals were very friendly. I would recommend anyone to stay here. We hope to return next summer.

Great place to break a journey North9

Pros: Beautiful room, friendly staff, interesting menu, good value food both in the evening and at breakfast, plenty of off road parking. Close to the motorway but not so close that it was noisy.
