Cozy little house with everything in it

Pros: Jo, our host, communicated everything well and made us feel welcome. The house was cozy and comfortable and lacked nothing. The location was just 20mins walk into the little market town and there were some nice pub meal options. The location in general was perfect for Coniston and Windermere particularly with the other lakes and towns not much further.

Pros: Kitchen with dining room was massive cool. Great communication with staff. Very comfortable cottage

Lovely well equipped home.

Pros: Lovely homely cottage with a welcoming feel and everything we needed. Great hosts. Would stay again.

Cons: Parking on road and might be tricky with a larger car

Ww had a great stay in the cottage , lovely walks , but the weather was awful so we came home early

Pros: the cottage is fabulous , a lot bigger than expected and in a good position . It has everything you need and more for self catering . very comfortable beds . Jo left us a nice welcome message , also books with lots of information about the house and the area . The cottage was kept lovely and warm at all times .

Cons: The bathroom is downstairs , so going to the toilet at night was a bit of an issue . Also no hand rail in the bath which was very slippy . No hand rail on the stairs , we managed ok .

Swarthmoor cottage

Pros: The house was very cosy, clean and comfortable. It was well equipped with everything needed. Leaving tea, coffee and biscuits was a lovely welcome

Cons: The road outside is narrow and at times hard to find somewhere to park. We did always manage to though, and never too far away.

A cosy, welcoming and relaxing weekend.

Pros: The cottage had everything we needed and more, it really felt like a welcoming home and was very clean. It was nice and quiet being situated well away from the busy main road, and Jo was a very helpful host!

Cons: We didn't find anything we didn't like! But if we had to list something that wasn't perfect, the walk to and fro Ulverston was along a very busy road with not much pavement width at times (we'd come on the train). But we got used to it, it was relatively short (only 20-25mins?) and anyway having a car would get around this.

Beautiful little cottage in an ideal location to grab the train and boat along lake Windemere.

Pros: Our host Jo welcomed us warmly with a big box of biscuits . Very well received after a 12 hour drive from the Netherlands . The cottage is clean and homely with comfortable beds and 2 Good size rooms . Also a little terrace in the back you can sit and have a coffee in the morning . We were lucky to have good weather so it was nice to sit in the sun. The place was ideal location for us as we were visiting family in the area.

Cons: Nothing we didn’t like we got more than we expected .

Excellent! Will check for availability here again if traveling to this area.

Pros: Has everything might need or forgot to bring with you. Warm and comfortable. Quiet neighbourhood.

Cons: Really nothing significant at all. Could not park right in front of the property but always found a parking space somewhere along the road.
