Mead Cottage a Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of the Lake District - Ridgestone

A great getaway, great for a few nights!

Pros: A very cosy cottage in the quiet village of Lindale.

Beautiful and cozy cottage

Pros: Great location, easy to travel from and to, extremely cozy, all amenities present and garden is gorgeous. Place was very unique and lovely to call home for a couple of days

Cons: Easy to miss the entrance, had to pass a couple of times before I noticed it. A few cobwebs around the bed and shower area and floors a tad dusty. Missed having some drawers to put clothes

Pros: It was warm, clean, beautiful, gorgeous area, lovely locals! Lots of things to do nearby, will be coming back 100%

Cosy, quiet & stunning vibes

Pros: Super cosy! The kitchen was great and had everything as we love to cook! Also the wine cooler was a winner for us hahaha!

Cons: There wasn’t much storage but I do pack alot off stuff lol , I think if you aren’t planning on doing a lot you don’t need to take a lot!

Beautiful hidden gem.

Pros: The cottage was beautiful & cozy, with an amazing hot tub.

Pros: Everything was amazing, the place is so beautiful inside and everything in there is very luxury from the soaps provided to the bedding, Neither of us wanted to leave, would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be booking again

Little gem

Pros: Beautiful cottage just needs more privacy from going from the house to the hot tub area front garden maybe a higher fence or trellises apart from that a wonderful place to visit with an amazing pub next door. X

Cons: Just the walk out the front to the hot tub could be slightly more private apart from that very happy.

Pros: The whole place was so well done. finished buitifuly down to every detail, amazing place would recommend to anyone who wants to explore the lake district and have cossy nights in. the tub and garden amazing too. would definitely stay again loved it 😁

Lovely stay at Mead Cottage

Pros: Had a lovely 4 night stay in Mead Cottage in March. The property was clean and furnished to a high standard - a cosy environment perfect for 2! Communication with the hosts prior to arrival was very good. The hot tub was wonderful - fantastic to experience after a day exploring the lakes. We would book again and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

Honeymoon Stay

Pros: We had a wonderful week at Lindale in the Lake District! The cozy, sleek interior was perfect for two, with a hot tub and a live fire log burner. Despite the cold temperatures outside, the place was warm and homely. Two TVs, a lovely garden/patio, and excellent amenities made our stay even better. The host was friendly and incredibly helpful, providing plenty of towels and top-tier coffee. Highly recommend this beautiful, well-maintained place!

Cons: There was an issue with the water not working for a short while (due to the freezing cold temperatures outside). But the host sent a plumber within an hour to resolve the issue (Thanks Jack)
