Winter Gardens Flat 2 - Studio The Retreat

Perfect

Pros: Location to everything in Blackpool, how clean it was. The price . We were here for a show at The Winter gardens. Only 5 minute walk. Seafront only 5-10 min walk too so handy for trams etc. Studio was immaculate. As others have said. The shower not the most powerful thing in the world ...but it was clean and hot and did the job.

Cons: Nothing. The property car park spaces were taken by other visitors to the address, which is fair enough as clearly states in the ad first come first served. There is a large car park opposite the property however this was full not a space to be found. However behind the property is another carpark. You need to drive a block along to get into it by car, but there is a gate to bring you out 2 mins walk from the studio. This car park is also cheaper. The one opposite is 15 pounds for 24 hrs. The one behind was 12 pound for 24 hours.

Pros: great location great parking great easy access quiet clean good self sufficient facilities in kitchen dining area

Cons: shower was not great lacked water pressure and tv would not work properly freeview kept freezing when did manage get a channel

Had all you need for a night’s stay close to centre, value for money.

Pros: Location to town centre, great price for 1 night, tea/coffee/milk etc provided, free car parking space (you have to be quick though as only 2 otherwise pay/display across road very convenient). Flat 2 windows do open so a bonus when hot although window ledge badly needs a paint. Clean bedding/towels, comfy bed.

Cons: Had to ring for check-in code for keys but thankfully quick response. Key boxes x2 to access - quite awkward to open, really didn’t like them, not good if you have dexterity problems! Flat 2 shower sealant rusty/dirty so didn’t use shower, only there 1 night anyway. Bathroom needs update/repairs.

Pros: Lovely little flat, located close to the Tower, Winter Gardens, shops and across the road from a well lit, reasonably priced car park. The flat was lovely and comfortable, and well secured, which is always something I look for as a single mum travelling with a daughter. The family who owns the flats were amazing. I spent a lot of time messaging them about various, some may say, silly questions and they answered every single 1 without issue, even going across to the car park to double check the prices for me. They even messaged the morning after our 1st night to check everything was OK and if we had any issues. 💯% there for their customers.

Cons: Our only problem was the shower wasn't very powerful, it was lovely and hot and did the job, but as my daughter said, after a long night dancing in a competition in heels with sore muscles, power from your shower works wonders. Just a personal preference really, not a big concern.

A lovely homely haven in the centre of Blackpool

Pros: Clean. Nice garden theme. Well equipped kitchenette. Warm. Cute Christmas decorations

Cons: Front door tricky to open as it turns the wrong way but we were very tired. Also the fridge was set too cold and it froze our salad

Absolutely lovely place and hosts. Will book again.

Pros: Host were amazing, I was such a sap and they went above and beyond for me.

Cons: The stairs are fairly steep. Not really a big issue.

Pros: Everything but mostly the comfort/feel of the room

Pros: Good location. Hosts available on the phone and good communication. Apartment was spotless and I would stay again.

Cons: No clothes hangers in the apartment and the iron and board was really small so I didn’t even attempt it. Heating was a bit complicated to work out but that could just have been me.

Pros: Gut gelegenes Basecamp für die winter gardens. Checkin problemlos. Apartment ist zwar recht klein aber zweckmäßig - die Garderobe hat für unsere Tanzkleidung gereicht. Küche bietet alles was man braucht, Tee und Kaffee vorhanden, auch ein paar Gewürze. Wir haben uns die 4 Tage rundum wohl gefühlt. Es wird mehrfach nachgefragt ob alles passt.
