Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful, outlook amazing. A lovely retreat not far from Ulverston town. Idealistic! Hosts, Loretta and Kieth, very welcoming, felt almost as if you’re at home… stunning.

Pros: Very warm accommodation, super underfloor heating. Comfortable beds. Comfortable sofa's. Modern bathroom, powerful shower. Good quality utensils and crockery. Lovely big kitchen worktop. Easy to find, great location, easy parking. Milking the fridge and a bottle of wine was lovely. Felt safe and secure. Very peaceful.

Cons: It's time for a little maintenance and repair to laminate floor in the kitchen and the entrance to the bedroom. Patches of grout in shower ready for a revamp to look it's best. There was only one roll of toilet paper, but that was likely just an oversight. Some of the pictures on the walls are a little dull. Scenic Images of Lake District or its wildlife would be a good touch, especially if created by local artists. All in all, good value and with a little maintenance will be excellent.

Short Break at Eller Riggs cottage

Pros: Excellent facilities, warm and so cosy. Felt like home from home. Owners added extra touches such as a bottle of wine. Great location for exploring the area.

Lovely cottage would recommend

Pros: Great countryside location with lovely views, spacious well furnished property, books & games for wet weather days. Provided us with tea bags etc which was lovely. Helpful owners, had a relaxing stay & would recommend

Cons: Oddly as the owners supplied us with tea bags there was only one toilet roll, not an issue to buy ourselves though. Skirting boards were very dusty but otherwise very clean.

Lovely house and the hosts did everything to make us welcome.

Pros: It was in a lovely quiet place and when we arrived we had a few things to make a cup of tea and coffee and a bottle of wine. Great.

Cons: Everything was great.

Pros: Great location and wonderful views with very friendly and helpful owners. Nice scenic walk into Ulverston with plenty of choice for food and drinks if you don’t fancy cooking in the cottage. 30 minute drive to the heart of the lakes.

Phonomenal Cottage And Scenery And Hosts

Pros: The Cottage Was Phonomenal And In A Phonomenal Setting. It Was Stunningly Gorgeous With An Open Plan Lounge And Kitchen And Spiral Staircase Leading To A Mezzanine. Was Welcomed By The Lady And Left Wine And Coffee And Tea. It Was So Modern But Felt So Homely. I Kept Using The Term When We Get Home .It Was Spotlessly Clean. The Beds Where New And So Comfy I Slept The Best I Have In Years. Me And Three Other Girls Who Stayed We Thoroughly Enjoyed It And Didn't Want To Leave. We Tried To Book For Summer But Fully Booked. It Was Extremely Great Value For Money. The Cottage And Facilities And Scenery And Hosts Were Exceptional. We Will Definitely Stay Again.

Cons: There Was Not A Single Thing I Could Fault. It Is Phonomenal.

Perfect verblijf op prachtige locatie

Pros: Bijna alles: mooie, ruime locatie met ver uitzicht over de heuvels (je moet wel een auto hebben om er te komen), goede Wifi, heerlijk bed, lekkere douche, vloerverwarming, en wat ook handig is voor reizigers: een wasmachine! Fles wijn bij ontvangst. Koffie, thee en een flesje melk stond klaar in de koelkast.

Cons: Kleine dingen, zoals weinig mogelijkheid om het daglicht te weren in de slaapkamer, de vergeten gebruikte lepels in de vaatwasser en een kapotte lamp bij t bed. Maar dat is zout op slakken leggen. Wij hadden hier een heerlijk verblijf. Aanrader!
