Perfect for that chill out after the Christmas madness

Pros: Our hosts were very accommodating, even checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed via message. It was cute, warm, appropriated the little things, that our hosts thought we might have needed. Gorgeous location. Great we had off road parking. Log fire excellent

Pros: The cottage was beautifully and immaculately presented with a wonderfully warm and cosy atmosphere. Wine and biscuits on arrival was a lovely touch and Indre and Gary were attentive hosts. The fire in the living room made for a really warm and relaxing place to be in the evenings, and the comfy bed to sleep in a wonderful bonus! The generous car parking directly outside the cottage was ideal for unpacking/packing up the car. All in all a lovely place to spend a few days away.

Pros: Great little house. Ideal for exploring the lakes. And at a fair price. Don’t expect luxury . Every thing you need for a great stay.

We couldn’t recommend this highly enough- an all-round perfect cottage.

Pros: The property was everything and more than it looked in the photos and in descriptions. The parking spot was convenient and the lovely front garden, along with this, gave a very good first impression. The cottage is deceptively bigger than you might expect and immaculately clean and well presented. I liked the fact that the decor, besides being lovely, was fitting with a period cottage but with a contemporary touch. The welcome package, provided by the hosts, made us feel like we had gone to stay with friends. It was like a warm hug. Bed linen and towels were superb and the beds were very comfortable. The location was even better than anticipated, with village amenities two minutes walk away, including shop, food takeaway and pub. Even if you visited without a car you could easily walk from the station too. All three generations of visitors in our family loved the cottage. A fantastic find!

Cons: A downstairs toilet would be great (even outside) for elderly visitors. This did not detract from our visit however, as we knew it didn’t have one. I didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t stay longer. I have already recommended it to others and would love to visit again and spend longer.

Home away from home

Pros: Absolutely beautiful home away from home! We came here over Christmas with our dog and the property was super cosy from the moment we got there. It has everything you could need and is the perfect locations for lots of lovely walks beyond the Lakes.

Pros: Second time we have stayed.Great location to explore the lake district.
