City Haven Preston

An excellent stay in a quiet area just outside Preston centre and 8 minutes walk from the Station.

Pros: This was a good alternative to a Hotel Stay and provided a 2 level living space and also a small table and chairs area outside the room that we had (Ground Floor). We also had 2 bathrooms available, including showers, which was perfect for a family of 4 people. The beds were comfortable and the living room area was ideal for relaxing, watching TV or discussing follow on plans for the next day of adventure. The property was very well located for access to the train station, central Preston and we found 2 local Main Supermarkets in the area that were open from early morning to late evening).

Cons: Nothing really springs to mind. One suggestion for the Property provided to consider would be to include some details about the Refuse / Dustbin options as different coloured bins were provided outside of the property but we had no idea, initially, about what items were to be put where (this was resolved by a location neighbour who explained the system).

Pros: Great location, close to station and public park. Very quiet. Attentive host

Cons: Bedroom very compact, though bed was comfortable.

A memorable experience

Pros: Excellent location and very clean apartment. Available facilities were also very well appreciated. I would like to visit again.

Cons: The heating wasn’t working so the apartment was too cold for me. The portable heaters were a compensation though.

Overall, lovely but we would book the larger apartment next time.

Pros: Facilities and location. Contact and friendliness of host was wonderful.

Cons: The sofa was uncomfortable and the bedroom was very small and a bit claustrophobic with space.

Great place would book again

Pros: Location was very good could get into city centre in 5 minutes. Parking was limited but got a spot every time. Even the put down bed was very comfy

Cons: Could not get the TV working even with us not connecting to the WiFi but that was not a problem we all had phones. Could have done with extra towels for 5 adults

Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: The location was very central to town centre and railway station. Apartment was spotless and was very modern. Lisa kept in touch throughout our stay checking to see if everything was to our satisfaction.

Cons: The wifi was not very good and we were not able to watch Netflix on the TV as it continually buffered. This is the reason I did not give services a 5.

booking.com is horrible in responding to customer query , to say the least

Pros: all good except the fact that the one i took was a smaller unit. I would say this is more of an issue with Booking.com as they show the property differently

Cons: when i arrived the toilet was not flushing and unfortunately, they could not fix it for about a week as no one was available for the easter break. I had the bigger problem with booking.com as they never responded to my query. i will stop booking from booking.com for sure in future

Trip to see family

Pros: The location was fantastic. The apartment was really cleverly laid out, with everything I needed. Brilliant value. I would return & look at a slightly bigger apartment. Thank you so much!

Cons: The shower cubicle was a little small with a bit of a sticky door. Minor point though.
